In general, auto insurance companies see male drivers between the ages of 18 to 24 years old driving more aggressively than females or any other drivers in all of the other age groups. It also has been proven that men in that age group are on the road much more than any other drivers and they also drive more aggressively and do not always obey the speed limit and they typically ignore some of the most important safety laws. It seems that the entire male population has always believed that they are the best drivers on the road and truly invincible and they don’t think they could ever get into an accident. But, in actuality the opposite is true but only for the younger male, in the age group between 18 to 24 years old. The statistics show that this age group of males makes the most auto insurance claims, 1,828,000 more in just one year. According to statistics in a 2004 report this age group of male drivers is also involved in 27,000 more fatal accidents.

Insurance companies have always based their premium for this particular age group of males on the statistics making their premiums much higher than anyone else. It doesn’t even matter if they meet some of the requirements for lower premiums, the insurance company does not take any of them into consideration. Because statistics haven’t changed yet the insurance companies haven’t changed either. They still view the young male as a high risk driver and their premiums are calculated on that viewpoint.

But, times are starting to change and things are looking up for young men. Because of how our society is these days, females are driving more because more of them are working now, but still taking their children to and from school and outside activities. Females are now put in the position of also being the caretakers for their aging parents. This means taking their parents to their medical appointments, doing their shopping, etc. Also, females are still the ones that run all the errands for their own family also including trips to the doctor for their children, shopping for food and clothes for everyone. So, all of these things put females under a lot more stress while also putting them on the road more driving back and forth, here and there, always in a hurry to get everything done and still make it home in time to prepare dinner for their family.

The statistics still show that males are still the higher risk when it comes to auto insurance but this might change soon as women are on the road more and more. Until then, males will continue to pay the higher premium.

Members of auto clubs usually qualify for numerous discounts (or in some cases get their cash back) on a wide range of services and products. These usually include: * Staying at hotels, inns, motels and campgrounds * Dining at restaurants or in bars * Renting a car * Booking train, bus and airline tickets * Repairing your auto or buying spare parts * Going to movies, parks, attractions and other entertainment facilities * Buying computers and Internet connection * Getting insured * Shopping at outlet and retail shops Insurance costs and security You most probably are aware of the discounts and special benefits the members of auto clubs get when buying auto insurance and homeowners coverage. But the discounts are not limited only to these types of insurance, and you may opt for price cuts when getting other insurance products as well, including: * Term life insurance for a group of beneficiaries * Medical coverage for a short period of time * Insurance for long-term care * Umbrella-type personal liability coverage * Flood coverage * Personal possessions coverage * Small business insurance And theres even more These are just some of the advantages you might experience when becoming an auto club member: * Road maps, travel books, atlases and printed publications * Trip planning assistance * Vacations and travel planning services * Mortgage home loan services * Auto loans and auto insurance * Car maintainance and buying assistance from an expert car-buying process * Legal protection and liability cost coverage * Short term loans and cash services * Travel checks with no fees * Credit card services and assistance You can get the full list of benefits and detailed information on all the discounts you are eligible for from your auto club web-page or representative so make sure to learn what you get with your membership when signing up.br

Do not delay until you are in a bewilderment at the rental counter. Before your next business trip, acquisition out if you are covered through your own auto allowance action or through your acclaim agenda company.
Business Use
Since the amount is for business use, yield the advantage the rental bureau offers for at atomic two reasons: 1) If you acquire an accident, your allowance carrier will not be acquainted of it and appropriately it will not affect your claimed auto action rates. 2) It is a deductible business amount admitting your claimed auto action is not.
Auto Insurance
Call your abettor to acquisition out what your auto allowance action covers if you hire a car. To be appropriately covered in your rental, your absolute action acquire to awning liability, absolute and blow advantage for rental vehicles. Accountability allowance covers you if you abuse accession being in an accident, and absolute and blow allowance awning the rental car if you are amenable for the damage.
Credit Cards
After you apperceive what your auto action covers, analysis with your acclaim agenda company. Some acclaim agenda companies action blow and annexation allowance if you use their agenda to pay for a rental, but this advantage is usually accessory to your claimed auto policy. Significant restrictions may apply: For example, the agenda aggregation may crave that you abatement the rental agency’s blow blow abandonment ? a accouterment of your rental acceding that banned your accountability for amercement to the car.
Remember, a acclaim agenda will alone awning blow to the car, not accountability claims adjoin you. That bureau your acclaim agenda will not assure you if you abuse others or abort property. In addition, this advantage ability exclude business use or be bound to a assertive aeon of time and geographic area.
Rental Insurance
If you do not acquire able advantage through your auto allowance action or acclaim card, you should acquirement coverage. The a lot of blurred allotment of rental allowance is the blow blow waiver. A blow blow abandonment isn’t absolutely insurance; instead, it is a agreement that the rental aggregation will pay for assertive damages. Rental agencies action blow blow waivers or blow accident waivers for about $14 to $20 per day. If you abatement the blow blow waiver, you acquire albatross for all damages.
The blow blow abandonment aswell covers “loss of use” ? the money a rental bureau loses if the car cannot be busy due to damages. In a lot of states, an auto allowance action will not awning this amount and you could acquisition yourself alone amenable for it.
In addition, if you blow a rental car, some agencies will apprehend you to pay up foreground for aliment or backup costs. This bureau the money comes from your abridged and you acquire to get reimbursed by your auto allowance company. The blow blow abandonment protects you from these up-front costs.
In accession to the blow blow waiver, a lot of rental agencies offer:
?	Supplementary accountability insurance, which acts as accessory advantage to your claimed policy
?	Primary accountability allowance for drivers who don’t acquire auto allowance behavior or don’t wish to use them
?	Personal blow insurance
?	Personal furnishings aegis that insures your belongings
So, ultimately, it depends on your situation, but do anxiously accede all of these possibilities and a lot of of all, accomplish abiding you are covered!

Auto theft is very profitable in the US, and protecting your vehicle from thieves is nearly impossible. Late night infomercials and magazine ads are flooded with products that promise to keep your car safe. Finding a few that actually work is easier said than done.

How you do know which products are worth your time and money? Crime prevention experts do have a few recommendations, but they warn that no device is foolproof. If a thief is determined, he will steal your car.

Let’s take a look at a few common types of anti-theft products sold today.

	Car Alarms. Some experts say that because of the number of alarms that are set off by passing trucks or the neighbor’s cat, the public has become immune to the blaring car alarm, giving it little or no attention at all. Alarms are available that trigger a pager that the owner carries, telling them instantly whenever the silent alarm has been triggered. This may be an option, but it may not be practical if you live on the 10th floor of an apartment building on work in a high rise complex.

Have your car alarm professionally installed. Loose, visible wires are an invitation for a thief to make a quick snip of wire cutters, disabling your alarm. If a thief has to work harder to reach wires embedded in the dash, they may pass on your vehicle.

	Starter Disable Switches. If a thief does not notice that your vehicle is equipped with a switch, it will take them longer to disable the device and start your car, increasing the chance of detection by citizens or the owner.

	Don’t bother with steering wheel locks or bogus alarm stickers. Experienced thieves see right through these tactics, and a steering wheel can be cut in seconds to remove a locking device.

	Location based GPS recovery systems like Lojack or Onstar are one of the best deterrents for a thief. Thieves will often avoid cars labeled with a GPS system, unless they are skilled at disabling them. A GPS system can track your vehicle and lead police to the location of your car after it has been stolen, if the thief doesn’t disable it first.

	The technique of etching your vehicle’s VIN number onto the glass is questionable. If a thief is planning on sending your car to the chop shop, disposing of the glass is an acceptable loss.

If you have invested a great deal of money in your vehicle, you will want to protect it. Making a trip to your local police station can provide you with a wealth of information on how to better protect your vehicle from thieves. An officer can provide you with a list of frequently stolen car models and a few tips on how to keep your car safe.

No product will keep every thief away, but an effective anti-theft device may discourage the criminal and increase the chances that your car will not be a target.

Source: articleage.com

Insurance is like a myth. From one small seed of truth, a
fairytale the size of 1000 giant sequoias has sprung up. Reality
is blocked from view. Surely, you’ve noticed all the giant,
sequoia-like buildings are owned by banks and insurance
companies. Where do they get all that money? How much money do
the executives make? Who pays for it all? Grab a mirror. “Magic
mirror on the wall, who’s the biggest sucker of them all? What’s
that you said? The Masses!”

Insurance is yet another unquestioned social reflex. You just
buy it. You must. The banker insists you have to purchase
insurance or you don’t get the loan. Your government orders you
to buy auto insurance at any cost. Hence, it must be really good
for you. Hell, why not stock up on some of the non-mandated
insurances as well? You can’t have too much of a good thing. Can
you?

Somewhere in the dark, murky corners of our minds we hide our
thoughts. Like The Emperor’s New Clothes, no one screams out,
“But he has nothing on!” or “Hey, this is just bullshit!” You
are not alone in the darkness. We all think it. So you are no
longer scared to speak, here are some of those secret thoughts
voiced out loud for the first time:

1) If I speak out against insurance, I will be jinxed. My home
will surely burn to the ground and I will look like a moron.

2) If I speak out against insurance, some pecker-head who heard
me will have an accident and sue me because folks are not
responsible for their own choices.

3) Insurance is betting against myself. Why would I bet against
me?

4) If insurance companies must charge such high premiums because
they’re losing so much in payouts, how do they afford all those
big buildings?

5) What do insurance companies sell? Air? Promises they intend
to deny via small print? Contracts? Wouldn’t I rather buy an
IHOP franchise with that money?

6) If government represents the people, why do they make me, a
people, a criminal when I cannot afford auto insurance to get to
work and feed my family?

7) How much in dollars and perks do insurance lobbyists put into
the pockets of politicians?
Do I really need trip-cancellation insurance? Why would I buy
a dream trip, and then bet on my canceling it at the last
moment?

9) If I put all the money I spend on insurance into the bank or
toward building success, how much money would I have for coping
with my problems on my own terms?

10) If I buy the extended warranty, will I remember I have it or
be able to find it when my widget explodes?

11) Shouldn’t companies make quality widgets that last three
years in the first place?

12) And finally, did Jennifer Lopez really insure herself for
hundreds of millions of dollars? What? She is already rich. The
agent who sold this policy is phenomenal.

Yes, we all know the system is way out of hand! The blame lies
with insurance companies, greedy bankers, spineless politicians
and with the Masses unquestioningly supporting these
absurdities. Every frivolous lawsuit provides government an
excuse for mandating people be protected from themselves via
costly insurances and removal of individual freedoms.

Before long, we will be required to carry Coffee-Burn riders on
auto insurance and Cell- Phone-Earring-Tear addendums on HMOs.
These days Sleeping Beauty would have sued the castle owner
(a.k.a. Dad) for that prick on the finger, lost wages from the
coma and for trauma from the scar. Uninsured sewing needles
would be outlawed throughout the kingdom.

With a system this out of control, how do you protect yourself?
You cut the fat. Quit betting against yourself. Think about all
those different types of insurance. Stop buying out of reflex
and decide for yourself what you can kick to the curb. Consider
the variety out there and what you truly must have.

Life Insurance is for betting you will die such a loser that you
can’t pay for your own funeral or leave your kids any
inheritance. Extra Car Insurance-How much you betting that you
will crash? Not to mention, homeowner’s, mortgage, trip
cancellation, emergency evacuation, unemployment, boat, credit
card, business interruption, earthquake, disability, dental,
smoker, expatriate, backpack traveler, winter sports, flood,
warranty and health insurance. The list goes on.

Here is a new monument to the ludicrous: Terrorist Insurance.
It’s even pushed at Art Gallery Owner’s in isolated communities
of the Northern Great Plains. And, why not? No doubt Osama is
crouching in an Afghan cave right now, plotting to rid the world
of those pesky Remmington Cowboy bronzes.

Insurance agents prey upon these new fears like snakes on
wounded mice. Apparently, companies want to terrorize you into
buying coverage. Another possibility is a rebel SCUD aimed for
Mount Rushmore may slam into a Canada Goose and go askew. It
sucks when this happens! No doubt your goat ranch in Chug Water,
Wyoming is in eminent danger from this likely chain of events.
Perhaps, you should add a specific ‘Unpasteurized-Cheese
Addendum’ to your Terrorist Policy. Call your agent today and
ask them. See if they will sell you one.

The odds of you dying of a mosquito bite are better than the
odds you will die at the hands of a terrorist. Well, crap! The
government better permit companies to require we all carry
Mosquito Insurance. Maybe you can get a DEET discount! Better
still; why not turn over all our bothersome responsibility, like
freedom and privacy, to the Feds. Then good ol’ Uncle Sam can
protect citizens from the winged menaces that haunt our very
souls.

Congress could raise taxes to fund Bug Inspectors. Their job
would be to comb through your private life, home and property
looking for freestanding water. They would not look for anything
else (roll eyes here). Still cancer and glaucoma patients might
want to keep the baggies away from the birdbath.

Speaking of cancer, the Air Force could spray us all from above
with a perfectly “safe” mixture of insecticides called Agent
Tan. Coincidently, that day your governor vacations far away. Is
there anybody in his or her right mind who would elect an
insurance salesman to public office? Of course, both politicians
and insurers are selling you hot air, so perhaps it is a match
made in H…

A very few insurances are worth buying, such as liability
insurance for cars and real estate. Once you have something to
lose, it’s a sure bet some lazy troll with an
entitlement-mentality will try to sue you. In this case, you
want the giants on your side. Insurance companies provide
lawyers to run evil little trolls back under their bridges.

Insurance prices in America are out of control. The wide range
of insurance the bureaucracy would have us believe we cannot
live without is genuinely insulting. Buying all the coverage
companies would have you believe you need wastes thousands of
your dollars each year. Look over policies and eliminate what
you can. Insurance is just legalized gambling. If you are
betting against yourself, how can you take a gamble on yourself?
Pursue your dreams instead!
